To give chances to the oppressed, marginalized and underprivileged is UPelikula 2015’s inspiration for this year’s film making competition.
Their theme “Lantawa, Paminawa, Pamati-a”, a direct Cebuano translation of “See it, hear it, feel it” takes the plight of the bypassed sections of society and highlights these in beautifully crafted student and amateur film masterpieces coming from as far as Malaysia, capital Manila and other provinces outside Cebu.
The Public Screening is scheduled for today (April 16) and tomorrow (April 17) at the historical Cine Oriente in Colonnade Mall located on the equally historical Colon Street, the country’s oldest.
For only P69, the audience will get to have the chance to see, hear, feel and have a unique film experience with the 43 finalists.
Paper Plane Productions takes the event beyond the borders of Cebu as UPelikula 2015 opens it arms to entries from students and amateur filmmakers alike, regardless of location. Awards Night will follow on April 18 at the Cebu Capitol Social Hall.
