The prestigious University of the Philippines Cebu will be holding the 41st National Artist Jose Joya Awards and the 42nd Annual Students Art Exhibit in their Jose T. Joya Mini Gallery this February 15, 2017.

Jose Joya served as UP College of Fine Arts dean from 1970 to 1978 and was awarded National Artist in Visual Arts in 2003. Because of him, The Fine Arts Students Organization (FASO) collaborate with the UP Cebu Arts and Culture Committee, Mrs. Josefa Joya-Baldovino, and the Joya Family yearly to host this art competition in his honor.
